Michaela grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington where she trained in tap, jazz, acrobatics, ballet, contemporary, and lyrical since the age of four. Her love for ballet was apparent at a young age. As a teen, Michaela began studying the Cecchetti Method of ballet and fell in love with the method. She is a certified ballet instructor through Cecchetti USA. She has trained under ballet masters from Richmond Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, as well as many Cecchetti Fellowship instructors.
Additionally, she has been certified under the Al Gilbert tap method. In addition to her years of training, Michaela has choreographed for various local theater and studio productions and for the dancers at Seattle Pacific University.
Michaela’s passion for movement led her to earn a Bachelor of Science from Seattle Pacific University in Applied Human Biology and Exercise Science. She was brought to Utah in order to pursue becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Michaela has a passion for movement that she loves to share with her students. Most importantly, she is dedicated to providing quality instruction that will further student’s technique and love for dance while preventing injury.
