Sierra Williams was born and raised in Boise, Idaho where she began her dance training at Dance Unlimited Studios, under the direction of Debbie Sager, when she was 11 years old. There she had the opportunity of competing for 3 years as a member of their competition teams at various competitions such as Nexus, Jump, and Adrenaline. Following this, Sierra then joined the Capital high school dance team.
After high school Sierra furthered her studies in dance at Boise State University under the direction of Marla Hansen for two years. She was asked to join a local, pre-professional contemporary company, Focus Dance Ensemble, under the direction of Gonzalo Valdez. Sierra continued her dance education at Utah Valley University studying under Mark Borchelt, Jamie Johnson, and Heather Gray. She was a member of Utah Valley University’s Repertory Ballet Ensemble and performed contemporary and classical works in their concerts. At Utah Valley University Sierra also had the opportunity to dance with Utah Metropolitan Ballet in their productions of the Nutcracker in 2015 and 2017. In 2018 Sierra choreographed a piece that was showcased in the senior capstone concert. Sierra graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Ballet in May 2018.
Since graduating, Sierra has taught at several studios in the valley and dances with Municipal Ballet Company, under the direction of Sarah Longoria.
